When a scan fails
Common causes: unreachable URL, auth-protected pages, robots.txt block.
Typical reasons a scan fails:
• URL is unreachable (DNS / 404 / timeout)
• Page is behind authentication (HTTP 401/403) — only public URLs are scannable
• robots.txt blocks crawlers
• A WAF (Cloudflare etc.) flags our scanner as a bot
• Private IPs (127.0.0.1, RFC1918) — blocked by design for security
The error_code is visible in your scan history. If you can't resolve it, email support@siteclinic.jp with the scan ID.
